Steve Luxton was born in Coventry, England, in 1946. He has published five full collections of poetry, most recently In the Vision of Birds: New and Selected Poems (DC Books, 2012).  Founding editor of the Moosehead Review and an editor of Matrix, he has worked as an editor for a number of publishing houses, including Quadrant Editions and DC Books. He edited or co-edited several anthologies, including Saturday Night at the Forum and Full Moon. His poems have appeared widely in places such as Canadian Forum, Canadian Literature, Fiddlehead,  Sidestreet, and Jacket (Australia). He has written reviews and articles for The Gazette (Montreal), Matrix, and Fiddlehead. He was a founder of The Montreal Storytellers, an oral story telling group, which has performed in both Canada and the US. His work was included in the anthology Next Teller: A Book of Canadian Storytelling.  He has taught English Literature and Creative Writing at John Abbott College and Concordia University. He divides his time between Montreal and Ayers Cliff in the Eastern Townships region of Quebec.
